Senior Privileges

Year 11 and 12 Students
Year 11 and 12 students enjoy a number of privileges as acknowledgement of their maturity and changing needs.

These include:

  • a different uniform
  • do not need to line up at the canteen
  • have a separate covered seating recreational area
  • girls have access to the newly built girls washrooms and toilets
  • do not need to attend sport
  • access to the senior study area ("the Long Room") in the library including networked computers for study facilities
  • access to professional study support after hours
  • when licensed, can drive to from school

In addition, Year 12 enjoy these privileges and opportunities:

  • may leave the school grounds when they do not have a scheduled class (not for Year 11)
  • may leave the school grounds during recess and lunch (not for year 11)
  • do not attend R&R but "swipe in" before first class of the day
  • can be elected as Captain, Vice-Captain and Prefects and represent the school at formal functions
  • access to Year 12 mentoring program
  • take leadership roles in the school eg SRC, management committees
  • enjoy the end of year Formal
  • organise school socials
